Team Cebu shines at Mrs. Philippines International 2023 Prelims

CEBU, Philippines —  It was a long yet fulfilling day for the 22 candidates of Mrs. Philippines International 2023 last March 11 as they had to persuade judges with their thoughts during an Advocacy Presentation and Head to Head Challenge, then summon their remaining energy for the Preliminary Competition in the evening.

The pageant’s prelims held at the Arctic Hall of Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino saw the finalists first parade in their festival costumes, and later display elegance and grace in their rose-gold evening gowns.

Emerging as the Top 3 winners for the Social Media Award (the best social media content, promotions, and overall online consistent visibility) were Grezza Day Rosales from the Province of Laguna, Mary Jade Luna from West Cebu, and Irma Payod-Bitzer of Cebu City North.

The candidates from Cebu basically dominated the Advocacy Presentation and Head to Head Interview. Liz Tagimacruz of Cebu City East nabbed recognitions for Best Creative Portfolio and Intellect Award, while Bitzer was selected Best in Interview.

For the Head to Head Challenge, the Top 5 placers were Bitzer (Cebu City North), Princess Joesel Mae Bajamonde (Cebu Province), Honeylane Labang (San Fernando, Cebu), Liz Tagimacruz (Cebu City East), and Ederly Abel (Province of Batangas).

The winner for Best in Advocacy Presentation and Head to Head Interview will be announced at Mrs. Philippines International 2023’s Grand Coronation Night on April 4 at the Grand Ballroom of Okada Manila.

Selected as Top 3 for the Mrs. Photogenic award were Bajamonde (Cebu Province), Evangeline Pulvera (Bohol Province), and Vernelie Diane Babasa (City of Lipa, Batangas).

Also named Social Media Choice was Vanessa Magbojos from Bauan, Batangas.

Mrs. Philippines International is considered as the country’s premiere pageant for married women including those separated, divorced, widowed and single mothers. Winners will represent the country at Mrs. International, Mrs. National Universe, Mrs. Grand International, and other international pageants for married women.

Founded in 2017, the pageant is organized by the husband and wife team of Aries Concepcion and Maan Cueto Aries under their 3Stars Productions.
