Richard, Sarah officially announce wedding plans
The special announcement of the forthcoming wedding of Richard Gutierrez and Sarah Lahbati was the reason ABS-CBN Corporate Communications invited the media last Sunday on “ASAP Natin ‘To,” where Kapamilya singers Moira Dela Torre, Jason Dy, Ogie Alcasid, and Martin Nievera serenaded the couple with heartfelt love songs.
The wedding is scheduled on March 2020.There is no definite date yet since the couple are still ironing out details with regards to the church, sponsors, and others.
Sarah was taken by surprise when Richard proposed to her. She had no idea what her partner was planning to do that day.
Richard said he had been waiting for so long to marry Sarah but he became busy when he transferred to the Kapamilya Network where he did a series and a movie. Sarah, on the other hand, got pregnant with their second son.
But the actor believes this is the right time for them to get married. They already two kids who will probably have a participation in the wedding.
“I believe Sarah is the right girl for me. She makes me happy,” said the son of Eddie Gutierrez and Anabelle Rama.
Sarah said she got attracted to Richard when they worked together in a GMA-7 teleserye. Richard wooed her and they became an item. They had to weather a lot of challenges to their union, which made them stronger as a couple and resolve to be always there for each other.
Initially, Richard and Sarah thought of getting married abroad but dropped the idea when they realized they have a lot of relatives they would need to fly in.
The two are set to visit various ABS-CBN shows for exclusive stories and sneak peeks on their upcoming wedding.
Richard and Sarah appreciate the amount of love they have received as they enter a new chapter of their lives.
“We are super grateful. We made it official to our parents, kids, and friends. Now it’s time to make it official to our supporters and announce it properly,” said Sarah.
Richard added: “We are thankful to ABS-CBN and for the people working behind all this. This is very special to us and we can’t wait to share more details about our big day soon.”
The two revealed that they are already finalizing their guest list and principal sponsors. Sarah will also fly out of the country for her wedding gown fitting next month.
Aside from the wedding preparations, Richard is currently busy doing a film under Star Cinema with Bea Alonzo (with whom he will also be paired in a teleserye) and Angelica Panganiban. He will also star for the first time on “Maalaala Mo Kaya” this Saturday (October 12) alongside Elisse Joson.

Stars from the Kapamilya and Kapuso networks graced the first Gawad Aguinaldo celebration in Kawit, Cavite in recognition of the province’s modern day heroes – the outstanding teachers who have shown exemplary dedication to their profession and love for their students.
Kawit Mayor Angelo Emilio Aguinaldo, together with celebrities Rayver Cruz, Cacai Bautista and Kris Bernal, led the joyful night of praise and awards for the Gurong Kawiteno in line with the celebration of World Teachers Day of the Municipality of Kawit.
The six outstanding teacher-awardees were Marvin Jay Ignacio Maming of Emilliano Tria Tirona Memorial National High School; Ederlyn Pel-Algonajota of Binakayan National High School; Cindy Mae Suarez of Binakayan Elementary School; Willie Claudio O. Endaya of Gahak Elementary School; Judilyn Tiva of Aguinaldo Elementary School; and Sheilaver C. Mangune of Potol Sta. Isabel Elementary School.
Mayor Aguinaldo and his Sangguniang Bayan wanted to give importance to the Gurong Kawiteno and take pride in them. “Our municipality is not just beaming with history and culture. Our great heritage stems not just from our heroic ancestors who hailed from Kawit but also from the modern-day educators who share the same love for the country and its people,” he said.
The celebration was graced by Mayor Aguinaldo, together with other local officials and all teachers in Kawit. The program was hosted by local talents Ganiel Krishnan and Nico Locco, made even more special with performances from Kris Bernal, Cacai and Rayver.
