Fernando Alvarez back in Cebu soon

CEBU, Philippines - Mister World 2016 first runner-up Fernando Alvarez has decided to stay longer in the Philippines. The Puerto Rican hunk also revealed his long-term plans while in the country.

Fernando plans to work here. Aside from his endorsement functions with Psalmstre New Placenta for Men, he wants to work as an artist. He wants to be a celebrity just like his kababayan Miss Universe 2003 Dayanara Torres. In order to have this plan work, he has been undergoing acting workshops with the country’s best trainers. Because of this, the Boricua guy doesn’t know yet when he’s going back to Puerto Rico. Instead, he said he is going to push himself further to establish a career here.

Fernando also plans to equip himself with the Filipino language. Since he calls himself Pinoy-Rican and considers the Philippines his second home, he thought it is only right that he knows how to speak the language of every Juan. Not to mention, every foreign actor who wants to penetrate Philippine showbiz should be fluent in Filipino as much as possible. Thanks to Psalmstre chief executive officer Jim Acosta, he provided Fernando with the best Filipino tutor, who has been teaching him for several days already.

Fernando plans to be back in Cebu soon. The model said he cannot forget the Queen City of the South because it is where he first experienced being a celebrity. Most probably, he will grace again the float of Psalmstre next year. Everyone remembers him as the Latino who played Magellan during last year’s Sinulog grand parade. He is also excited to taste some of the Cebuano delicacies.

At present, Fernando is busy performing his function as a Creworks Asia talent. Creworks Asia is the talent and event-management arm of Psalmstre, which, for the nth time, is sponsoring one of the world’s Big Three pageants, the Miss Earth beauty contest which held its finals last night. Fernando has been judging some of the pageant’s pre-coronation activities. He also led the welcoming of the candidates who visited Psalmstre and presented the Miss Psalmstre New Placenta award to Miss Sweden Cloie Syquia Skarne, who happens to be the half-sister of actress KC Concepcion.
