‘My Bebe Love’ cast in Cebu on December 17

CEBU, Philippines – In what is sure to send Cebuano AlDub fans into a tizzy, “My Bebe Love” director Jose Javier “Joey” Reyes announced Sunday night through his Twitter account that the highly anticipated movie’s main cast – Vic Sotto, Ai-Ai delas Alas, Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza – are coming to Cebu on December 17.

“Kitakits tayo sa Cebu on December 17 and Davao on the 18th with Bossing, the Queen of Comedy and the phenomenal AlDub!,” said Reyes’ post. No time or venue for the promotional stop was stated in the announcement.

One of the eight official entries to the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival, “My Bebe Love” is the first big screen outing of the wildly popular AlDub love team.

Also written by Reyes and produced by OctoArts Films, M-Zet, APT Entertainment and GMA Films, the movie was originally titled “Romcom-in Mo Ako” when it was accepted in June as an MMFF 2015 entry. Back then, one month before the birth of AlDub, it only had Vic and Ai-Ai attached as lead stars.

In a three-minute trailer released recently, the romantic-comedy shows Alden and Maine as star-crossed lovers whose bickering guardians disapprove of their blossoming relationship.

Dondi (Alden) is a nerd and an obedient nephew to his aunt (Ai-Ai) who makes decisions for him. Anna (Maine) is a stubborn and rebellious girl who seeks the attention of her father (Vic). Dondi and Anna cross paths and their different personalities collide, but they eventually fall in love with each other.

Opening in cinemas nationwide on December 25, “My Bebe Love” also stars Arlene Muhlach, Valeen Montenegro and Ryan Yllana, with special appearances by Joey de Leon, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Paolo Ballesteros and Ryzza Mae Dizon.
