Adele’s new album out in November
CEBU, Philippines - The time has come — and it’s most likely going to be epically amazing!
After more than four years, Adele’s long-awaited album, “25,” is due out this November, Billboard reports. And it gets better — she’s reportedly collaborated with the likes of Max Martin, Pharrell Williams, One Republic’s Ryan Tedder, Canadian singer-songwriter Tobias Jesso Jr. and Danger Mouse for her third studio album.
Martin is known for producing a plethora of hits, including Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” and Katy Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl,” among others. Mouse has worked with everyone from The Black Keys to ASAP Rocky and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
In July, Ed Sheeran confirmed the existence of “25” during an interview with the U.K.’s Capital FM. “I haven’t heard [Adele’s album], but everyone I know who’ve worked on it is just like, ‘Dude…that record!’ Apparently, it’s really good,” he shared.
Adele, for her part, has stayed mum about the record, last teasing the album in May on her 26th birthday. “Bye bye 25…See you again later in the year x,” she wrote, posting a photo of her lying in bed and giving a thumbs up sign, prompting fans to speculate that she planned to release a new album during the next few months titled “25,” continuing the tradition of naming her records after years of her life.
The 27-year-old notoriously private “Rolling in the Deep” singer last released an album in 2011, the Grammy-winning “21,” which had followed her debut major record, “19.”
In 2012, more than a year after the release of “21,” which dealt with heartbreak, Adele and longtime boyfriend Simon Konecki welcomed their first child together, son Angelo, who is now two and a half years old.
Tedder told the Australia newspaper The Herald Sun in 2013 that the singer “sounds even better than before.”
“I’ve seen her recently,” Williams said this past June. “She’s kinda like, ‘Okay guys, I’m gonna open my diary for 20 minutes.’ So it’s like, okay, you have 20 minutes, or 32 minutes really...Then she gives it to you and closes it up and disappears, and she’s off with her beautiful boy—and that’s what it’s all about.”
What will Adele’s new album sound like? While there is no confirmation from the singer’s rep or record company, this past May, pop star Kelly Clarkson told The Wall Street Journal that she heard the singer “is doing something more country influenced.”
