22 Tango Records launches compilation album
CEBU, Philippines - Save your Wednesday nights this July as independent label 22 Tango Records presents “Folk City: The Album Launch Series” at Ayala Center Cebu.
Artists will perform live on dates July 9, 16, 23 and 30 at the Level 4, Garden Area at 8 p.m. Playing for you will be singer-songwriters Cattski “Mother Folker” Espina, Ella Melendez, Martina San Diego, Mary Anchit and Jessica McYorker and bands, The Wonggoys, Womb, Luxxx and Snübear.
22 Tango Records co-founders Cattski Espina and Anne Muntuerto have been working closely with the Folk City artists for months now, each of them adding an even more personal depth behind the album.
“Every song tells a story, every artist in a class of their own. Extremely proud to have an amazing group of artists all in one album,” Muntuerto said.
“Folk City provides a platform for the release of a finished work – a single – for those artists who are just starting with their album efforts. One single from those new artists – just to have a taste of what’s to come. And it also gives our other artists who have already released albums another opportunity to release another track from their respective albums that deserves another round of exposure,” Espina added.
