Lily Allen turns down ‘GoT’ role

CEBU, Philippines - British singer Lily Allen revealed that she turned down a cameo role in “Game of Thrones”—because it would have required filming an incestuous seduction scene with her real-life brother Alfie Allen.

The “Sheezus” hitmaker made the revelation during an “Ask Me Anything” session with Reddit, explaining that producers of the hit HBO show had offered her the role of Theon Greyjoy’s sister Yara.

“I felt uncomfortable,” the brunette beauty wrote, “because I would have had to go on a horse and he would have touched me up. Once they told me what was entailed, I said no thanks.”

The episode in question, “The Night Remembers,” aired in season two with Gemma Whelan ultimately playing the role of Yara. In the scene, Alfie’s character rides horseback with Yara while he caresses her, both inside and outside of her clothing. He later discovers, much to his mortification, that the woman he was seducing was actually his sister.

Despite turning down the role, mom-of-two Allen insists she hasn’t given up hope of making it onto George R.R. Martin’s fantasy smash in another guise. “I would be open to doing a musical cameo like Sigur Ros, though,” the singer admitted.

HBO, however, says the 29-year-old singer was never offered a role on the hit series.

While Allen is concentrating on her music career, having recently released her new album, her brother continues to star on the hit series, and recently opened up to Entertainment Weekly about the forthcoming episodes.

“It gets dark,” he said. “I don’t think people will find it as hard to watch this year. It depends what kind of person you are. It’s more of a mental torture than it is physical. It’s daunting as an actor. I have to do more telling of the story with my eyes than with words. I’ve never really done that type before.” (FREEMAN)
