Wagas presents ‘Ready for Love’

CEBU, Philippines - This Saturday, discover how love and fate invade the cyberworld as GMA News TV’s weekend romantic program, “Wagas,” unveils a heartwarming real-life love story that started online.

Featuring Kapuso star Winwyn Marquez and Eat Bulaga’s My Foreignoy grand winner Gui Adorno, Wagas brings to life the touching story of couple Joreen and Sam Trostle. Joreen had no idea that posting her photos in a website would lead her to meet Sam.  Finding love has always been a challenge for Joreen because of her low self-esteem as she grew up being bullied because of her dark complexion and curly hair.

Though she likes Sam, a tall, fair-skinned, handsome member of  the US Navy, Joreen tried to suppress her feelings.  Thinking that Sam’s ideal girl would be someone else, Joreen dismissed the thought of being romantically linked to him.  Unknown to her, Sam finds her beautiful and has been secretly in love with her the moment he saw her picture.

Despite entering into other relationships, the two remained cyber-friends for years.  But unknown to Joreen and Sam, the power of love has its own way of bringing them together in the most unusual manner. Given another chance, the two are finally ready to love and be loved.
