Leighton Meester & Adam Brody are engaged

CEBU, Philippines - Talk about television’s perfect romance! The Upper West Side’s queen bee Blair Waldorf just landed Orange County’s lovable prince, Seth Cohen.

“Gossip Girl” star Leighton Meester and her boyfriend of nine months, “The O.C.” heartthrob Adam Brody are engaged, a source confirms to omg!.

While details on how Brody, 33, popped the question remain short, the typically private duo’s romantic history has certainly been sweet. The couple met on the set of their 2011 flick, “The Oranges,” but didn’t start dating until early February. After a trip to Bangkok together, the sweethearts made their first red carpet appearance as a couple in June at the Los Angeles premiere of Brody’s film “Some Girl(s).”

Meester certainly hasn’t been shy about romance. In an interview with Lucky magazine last year, the “Country Strong” actress revealed, “I love love. It’s the most intriguing universally understood emotion, and it comes in so many forms: family love, love of friends. I fall in love with everybody all the time.”

The duo hasn’t set a date yet, but you can get a taste of their chemistry on-screen. They’re set to appear together again in “Life Partners” in 2014. (FREEMAN)
