Folk City goes to Parkmall

CEBU, Philippines - Folk City will be hitting the mall again for its fifth leg tomorrow, Sept. 13.

As part of Parkmall’s 24-hour Crazy Sale, catch the folkers as they provide music and entertainment for shoppers at the Parkmall Rotunda.

Folk City is a pocket music event series owned and organized by 22 Tango Records featuring artists under the label and other guest artists as well. It aims to promote good original local music and gathers today’s vibrant singer-songwriters, pop folk acts and digi folk acts.

Its first gig was held at Handuraw Events Café. It was then brought to Ayala Terraces, The Walk – IT Park and just recently, M Citi Suites. This Friday the 13th, be sure to catch them again at the Parkmall for their 24-hour Crazy Sale.

Headlining this leg is one of Cebu’s premier singer-songwriters, Cattski Espina. Also playing that night are other 22 Tango Records artists Ella Melendez, Womb and The Labrats, with guest performances from Nikie J and Freon.  Folk City will start at 10:30 p.m. and end around 2 a.m.

The 24 Hour Crazy Sale kicks off the “ber” months where shoppers can get as much as 80% discount. Aside from Folk City, other activities will also be happening at the mall such as the biggest car show of the year by the Inter-auto Club Meet and Karaokrazy where shoppers can get rebates from participating stores and restaurants.

Whether you’re taking a break from all the crazy shopping or just chilling and enjoying the night, be sure to get a dose of Folk City’s signature live-pop-digital-electro-lyrical folk music.
