CEBU, Philippines - They say if you’ve got it, flaunt it!

What better time to show off those hard-earned pecs and curves than this sunshine season, when the urge to dive into a pool or laze around your favorite beach is stronger than ever. And what better way to accentuate one’s enviable figure than by dressing up in the resort wear collection of accomplished designers, and vying for a title while at it?

Creworks Asia recently launched its Best Bodies of Summer 2013 contest at the Montebello Villa Hotel, which saw 15 male and 15 female finalists motivated to boost their confidence and enhance their runway skills.

The male candidates are John Michael Yao, Al-Sughayer Rashed, Tom Kenneth Villanueva, Alfred Codilla, Carlos Ching, Jan Rhythm Mateo, Jomarie Sicad Sicad, Kenjie Espina, Clyde Gail Magalso, Wilfred Ouano, Randy Ybañez, George Bolen, Renee Alessandro Lictz, Charlemagne Umpad and Demos Pañares.

Their female counterparts are Danielle Iris Najardo, Qweyn Arranchado, Summer Allanic, Dayniel Moya, Jenifer Solon, Ashley Nicole Dragan, Marie Angelie Kho, Marianne Hernandez, Krystal Lyssa Pelomiana, Ginafe Hisanan, Daisy Atienza, Danica Anne Puasa, Princess Dian Tatoy, Jingle Sotelo and Danica Nombrado.

The male and female winners will receive P10,000 each plus sponsor products; while first runners-ups and second runners-up will get P5,000 and P3,000, respectively.

Rich Salibay of Creworks Asia emphasized that Best Bodies of Summer is not a bikini contest, but a resort wear competition. The designers who will lend their creations are Aldwin Guardiana, Brendon Val Cenon, Danny Booc, Dexter Alazas, Kenneth Hariono, Lemuel Rosos, Rey Humberto Villegas and Ryan Dumago.

The finals night is set on May 26 at Montebello Villa Hotel’s poolside garden and will be directed by Rosos.

Mr. Manhunt International 2012 winner Jun Macasaet will grace the event as one of the judges.
