Sarah G Live! is the title of Pop star Sarah Geronimo’s musical show on ABS-CBN that will premiere on February. This will be aired every Sunday night. It’s Sarah's first musical show on ABS-CBN and the pop star is excited though quite nervous with this new challenge in her career.
"I am very happy with the concept of the show," said Sarah at the thanksgiving party she gave for the press the other night at Imo’s Pancit Malabon, the new restaurant business of the Geronimo’s located at Mindanao Avenue in Quezon City .
"Pangalan ko po ang dadalhin ko rito so siyempre po ninenerbyos ako kasi sariling show ko na ito. But of course, may makakasama akong ibang mga artists na magagaling din so abangan po natin sana ito," she said.
It’s possible that Sarah’s show would replace Gandang Gabi Vice, the program hosted by Vice Ganda every Sunday night on the Kapamilya network.
For the longest time, it was Sharon Cuneta who reigned supreme on the Sunday primetime slot of ABS-CBN, from her musical-variety show The Sharon Cuneta Show to her talk-variety program Sharon.
Now it’s Sarah’s turn to own the time slot. She says this will give her the chance to showcase her performance skills.
The young singer expressed concern in ABS-CBN entrusting to her the coveted time slot via a musical show, a format that had long been missing on the TV landscape.
"At first, ayoko po, natatakot ako. Kasi po sariling show ko na po iyon kaya mas malaki na ang responsibility sa akin as an artist. But I consider this chance as a blessing as well. It’s a great blessing for me and another challenge for me to grow as an artist and as person so bakit naman ako tatanggi sa magandang blessing," she said.
Doing Sarah G Live! is like doing an Araneta concert every Sunday night and this makes Sarah nervous. "Every time I do shows onstage to perform, I am not that confident. I still get nervous. Doing this show every Sunday is like doing a concert at the Araneta week after week," said Sarah who would have to give up being on the Sunday noontime show of ABS-CBN, ASAP 2012.
But she would be seen in ASAP if she has movies or concerts to promote. She also won’t be able to do teleseryes since Sarah G Live! will certainly take much of her time.

Another blindside occurred in this season’s Survivor Philippines as the island’s resident strategist Gino dela Peña was voted off in the show’s tribal council last Tuesday night.
Gino, who was originally paired with co-GMA Artist Center talent Stef Prescott, was one of the original members of the Bulan tribe and was also part of the so-called "power five" – a strong alliance among fellow Bulan members KC Montero, Arnold Aninion, John Odulio, and Mara Yokohama.
However, existing alliances changed after John was voted off. With all the uncertainties resulting from John’s ouster, Gino reached out to the other castaways to form new alliances. But seemingly, this was a wrong move for this season’s strategist as Gino got voted off in the last tribal council. Gino now joins Chuckie Dreyfus, Arthur Solinap, and John as the fourth member of the Jury House.
Only six castaways – Apolaki tribe members Arnold Aninion, Betong Sumaya, KC Montero, Maey Bautista, Mara Yokohama, and Stef Prescott – remain. Who will make it to this season’s top five?
And amidst this week’s challenges, one of the castaways breaks down while a fight ensues between two other castaways! Catch all these drama this week on Survivor Philippines Celebrity Doubles Showdown, weeknights after Legacy, on GMA-7.
