Karen and Henry revisit advocacies launched in "Krusada"
CEBU, Philippines - Broadcast journalists Karen Davila and Henry Omaga-Diaz will revisit the most heart-tugging stories featured in the advocacy program "Krusada" in 2011 tonight.
Karen and Henry will check if there have been improvements in the health and children's rights issues they tackled in the program, as well as Tina Monzon-Palma's fight for the rights of kids who are victims of child abuse.
Also to be reviewed in the episode are Bernadette Sembrano's crusade for teachers' proper employment benefits and Ces Oreña-Drilon's campaign for military families and women's reproductive health.
After a year of pushing for their own advocacies in "Krusada," ABS-CBN's veteran journalists such as 'Kabayan' Noli de Castro, Ted Failon, Julius Babao, Gus Abelgas, Lynda Jumilla, Tony Velasquez, and Dyan Castillejo have demonstrated that besides reporting, they can take a stand and act on the most pressing issues in the country to become true agents of change.
True public service is propelled by action, not merely words. Don't miss the special episode of "Krusada" tonight after "Bandila" on ABS-CBN, or watch it earlier on DZMM TeleRadyo (SkyCable ch. 26) 9:15 PM.
