-

CEBU, Philippines - Thousands of music lovers gathered at the Marikina Sports Park recently to witness the biggest OPM concert event of the year, “MYX Mo! 2011” which is presented by the MYX, the No. 1 music channel in the Philippines.

This time, MYX’s annual celebration of good music was extra special as its online platform “Myxph.com” launched a new look to fit all types of music enthusiasts’ taste.

“Log on. Rock on.” was this year's tagline as MYX Mo! 2011 was made available to the cyberworld! For all the people who weren’t able to go to the live event at Marikina, the performances and activities were watched online via www.myxph.com

In this year's celebration, various artists from different genres including well-known OPM artists and bands like Chicosci, Spongecola, Callalily, Itchyworms, Rocksteddy, Gloc 9, Pedicab, Kiss Jane, General Luna, Slapshock, Wolfgang, Tanya Markova Pupil, Rico Blanco and a lot more performed.

Youtube sensation Marie Digby, Bossa Nova Queen Sitti and electronic/powerpop artist Somedaydream plus a lot more also jazzed up this celebration of Filipino’s world-class music.

Now on its 11th year, MYX is proven to level up Original Pinoy Music (OPM). In fact, it was within the regime of MYX where the peak production of local music videos increased as it provided a venue for OPM artists whether mainstream or indie to perform and showcase their best in programs like “MYX Live” and “MYX Bandarito”.
