Amazing Cebu launches food show, a mini-series next
CEBU, Philippines - One of Cebu’s fast-rising cable channels has launched another show tailor-made for local viewers. If you love to eat, and who doesn’t, then this recent offering of Amazing Cebu Channel 54 is just right up your alley.
The Amazing Cebu channel launched Foodhunt with Kate to invited guests at the Radisson Blu Hotel last November 26, a week after they successfully launched their sports program AmazingSports at the Ayala Active Zone. The food and travel magazine show will air its first episode today.
FoodHunt with Kate promises to feature different dishes cooked at different locations within the Cebu province. Aside from showcasing our local produce, it will also highlight recipes deconstructed and our familiar and new cooking traditions. It is a show for housewives, cooking enthusiasts, tourists, and locals to explore what Cebu has to offer.
Fittingly, tasked to take us on this gastronomic and cultural journey is a foodie and accomplished chef by the name of Kate Dychangco-Anzani. She is a degree holder in restaurant business and a catering events manager from Le Cordon Bleu in Australia. Married to Italian chef Marco Anzani, she co-owns with her husband the Anzani restaurant located at Nivel Hills in Lahug, which offers coastal Mediterranean cuisine.
The female host is also the Food & Entertaining Editor of Zee Lifestyle magazine, a stylist, a mother and proud Cebuana at that!
FoodHunt with Kate is just one of the many shows that Amazing Cebu is bringing to the local cable television scene. It already has a line-up of no less than five shows including a locally-produced mini-series that will be launched and aired by end of January 2012. —Vanessa Balbuena
