Kristen Stewart opens up about Breaking Dawn sex scene

CEBU, Philippines - Anticipation for the latest installment of the Twilight saga is already reaching fever pitch, with one event in particular on people’s lips (and minds).

Real-life couple Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson will appear in the first sex scene of the series in Breaking Dawn- due for release on November 18.

And to add fuel to the hype, the 21-year-old actress has admitted that the first time they filmed it, things got so heated that the scene had to be completely re-cut.

Perhaps the couple were keen to make the most of the event, given the long wait.

Describing the experience in an interview with Glamour magazine, Kristen said: “It was so weird, it didn’t even feel like we were doing a Twilight film. I was like, ‘Bella! What are you doing? Wow! What is happening here?!’”

“It was very surreal. We [originally] got rated R. They re-cut it,” she revealed.

It was clearly something the pair had looked forward to for some time, as Kristen told AccessHollywood last year: “It doesn’t get more action-packed… [But] they definitely get more physical. Well, they get married.”

And the 20-year-old joked: “We totally have sex – finally!”

Pattinson was equally thrilled with the development, which is well-known to readers of the Stephenie Meyer books.

“I’m looking forward to the pillow-biting scene,” he said. “I thought that was so funny. Of all the random things too do, really? He bites the pillow.”

But as the pivotal day grew closer, excitement gave way to nerves as Kristen and her beau started to feel the pressure to look their best.

“Usually we all make fun of Taylor for working out so often, and then suddenly me and Rob were like ‘S***’ and were running around the block while Taylor laughed at us,” Kristen told Glamour.

The wedding scene, another landmark for fans, was also an occasion wrought with stress, as Kristen’s dress was under Kate Middleton-esque security to ensure the details of its design were not leaked.

“I had to be shrouded in secrecy the entire two days of filming,” the actress divulged.

“It was crazy… I was on full lockdown, as if I was wearing millions of dollars’ worth of diamonds.”

Kristen was less forthcoming when asked about her real-life relationship with Robert.

“It’s funny when this question comes up, because I sort of feel like, I don’t really care!” she exclaimed.

“People can say whatever they want…. [The interest] is totally understandable, but when it’s personal to you, it’s like your life becomes a product and I’m repelled by that.”
