We won’t be surprised if the premiere telecast of Nora Aunor’s TV series on TV5 titled Sa Ngalan ng Ina, which premiered Monday night on the Kapatid, gets a high rating. It seems a good number of people really took time to watch the drama series directed by Mario O’Hara and
Jon Red.
Even in the social network, the people were talking about the show and how good it is. We were able to watch it and we agree that Nora and the rest of the cast gave a wonderful performance that should make the viewers come back and watch again the next day.
Nora, as they say, is walang kupas. She’s definitely in her element. Even if she had been inactive in acting since after being gone for eight years, she was not rusty. It was still old reliable Nora.
Her co-stars gave her ample support and we hope that the fine acting that everyone gave would be sustained until the very end. Sa Ngalan ng Ina really looks promising and is indeed a project fit for a superstar. Congratulations to the production team as well as to the cast for a job well done.

Why does Direk Wenn Deramas enjoy working with Vice Ganda?
"Dahil ang trabaho bilang comedy director ay napapadali dahil magaling na komedyante si Vice," the comedy director said. "Sa mga hindi nakakaalam, mabait po si Vice bilang kaibigan, bilang tao. Mukha lang siyang kontrabida pero mabait iyan sa tunay na buhay."
Direk Wenn added that those who really know Vice could vouch for his good-nature and kindness. It is work that gives pleasure to Vice that’s why he gives his best always to whatever it is that he does, whether he’s hosting "Showtime" or "Gandang Gabi Vice" or doing a movie like "Praybeyt Benjamin," a follow-up to his successful solo starrer Petrang Kabayo which was released last year.

At the press conference of "Praybeyt Benjamin," Vice Ganda candidly admitted he had the hots for Derek Ramsay. The comedian said he didn’t hide the fact that he had such a big crush on Derek and was in fact, fantasizing about him.
"But Derek was so generous with himself, with the friendship kaya when I was doing the other scenes with him, I was really embarrassed. Sinasabi ko nga kay Direk Wenn kung puwedeng huwag na lang namin gawin ang bed scene at shower scene kasi ako talaga ang nahihiya," the lead star of Praybeyt Benjamin said.
Vice said he had malice in him each time he would look at Derek who was just so cool on the set. “Hindi ako makaarte nang walang malisya kasi may malisya talaga ako. I didn’t want to do the shower scene but Direk Wenn was insistent so nilakasan ko na lang ang loob ko,” he said.
Vice said, compared to his launching film Petrang Kabayo, he had easier time doing Praybeyt Benjamin, even if some of their shooting days were rained out. He said they had a good time filming in the jungle and they never encountered any problem at all.
Praybeyt Benjamin, produced by Star Cinema and Viva Films, also stars Jimmy Santos, Malou de Guzman, DJ Durano, Kean Cipriano and Carlos Agassi. It will be shown on October 26.
