The Sleeping beauty ballet

CEBU, Philippines - Set to the entralling music of Peter Illich Tchaikovsky - his best work - and guided by the original choreography of Marius Petipa (with additional choreography by Fe Sala-Villarica & Nicolas Pacana), Sleeping Beauty is one of the most beautiful works for ballet performance of all time.

Catch it this weekend: Friday September 2 (Carabosse - Benjie Diola) matinee at 3 pm and Saturday September 3 (Carabosse - Marlinda Angbetic Tan) gala at 7:30pm, Ayala Onstage. Presented by Balletcenter and Arts Council of Cebu Foundation, Inc., with Ayala Center Cebu, Tempra and Natrapharm Generics.

Princess Aurora is Ballet Philippines’ principal dancer Candice Adea, 2010 silver medalist at the International Dance competition in Mississippi, USA. Prince Florimund is Cebu’s own Nicolas Pacana, formerly of Boston Ballet and now Artistic Director of Atlanta Festival Ballet. Nicolas is also co-Artistic Director of Balletcenter, together with Gregory Aaron.

Artistic Director for this project is Balletcenter and Arts Council founder Madame Fe Sala-Villarica.
