Jake Cuenca, Dennis Trillo talk about marriage, infidelity in "My Neighbor's Wife" +Maja Salvador goes indie in 'Thelma'
Jake Cuenca says he and Carla Abellana did a number of sensual scenes in Regal Entertainment's "My Neighbor's Wife" but they never did anything beyond what a normal couple would do. "Direk Jun (Lana) never asked us to do anything beyond what is decent. Just what normal couples would do. Carla and I never felt ill at ease with each other in doing those intimate scenes," said Jake during the presscon their coming movie.
"I put it in mind that Carla is really my wife and whatever it is that Direk Jun would ask us to do is part of our role as husband and wife," added Jake. He said he had never done a love scene as intimate as the ones he did with Carla. This was probably the sexiest love scene he had done in his career.
Jake would also like to thank his co-stars Carla, Dennis Trillo and Lovi Poe for accepting him wholeheartedly and making him feel relaxed on the set even if he's the lone Kapamilya star and the rest of them are all from the Kapuso network.
What if he's married and his wife cheated on him, just like what happened in the movie, what would he do?
"I believe in what they say, 'till death do us part' so I would do everything to save our marriage. I said it before na if ever I got married, my family would be my priority so if ever I have a problem with my wife, I would do everything to save our marriage," said the actor.

We asked Dennis Trillo the same question: What if his wife cheated on him, what would he do?
"I would forgive her and accept her again," said the actor. "When I married her, I promised to love and protect her. So if ever my wife does something wrong, I'd forgive her and accept her again."
While Dennis says it's hard to accept infidelity, if you really love your wife, you will find it in your heart to forgive. The actor also believes that when it comes to matters of infidelity, there should be equal treatment for both men and women.
"Bakit pag ang lalaki ang nagtaksil parang tanggap at okay lang pero pag ang babae ang nagkasala, parang ang hirap patawarin. Dapat pagdating sa usapin ng pag-ibig, dapat pantay ang tingin," said Dennis who added that there was a time he became unfaithful to a partner.
But he said he did it as some sort of retaliation because a previous partner also cheated on him. "Of course, I regretted doing it because I know it was not right. It's a sin to be unfaithful and I vowed not to do it again. If you do something like that, karma would catch up with you. Mabilis kang babawian ng karma."
For sure, Dennis' acting here in "My Neighbor's Wife" would be compared with Jake Cuenca but he said that Jake's acting has improved a lot.
Besides, Dennis said, he wouldn't want to say that he's the better actor compared to Jake because both of them have their own merits when it comes to acting abilities.

Jolina Magdangal is one of the lead stars of the new GMA 7 series "Iglot" and at the presscon held Tuesday, Jolina was asked about her wedding plans with boyfriend Mark Escueta.
The singer-actress said they haven't planned for their wedding although she's wishing that they could get married in November or December, if time permits.
She has yet to consult the services of a wedding coordinator although she wants to buy a book on how to plan a wedding because she doesn't want to rely on the wedding coordinator for every detail but she wants to have her own input as well.
"Ako ang ikakasal so ayoko naman ma-stress kaya gusto ko little by little ay mapaghandaan ng lahat ng mga importanteng detalye about this," said Jolina who is reunited with Claudine Barretto and Marvin Agustin in "Iglot", the new series on GMA 7 to premiere on Monday, August 29, under the direction of Gil Tejada Jr.
If we are not mistaken, this marks the first time that Jolina, Claudine and Marvin are working together in a TV series since their younger days in ABS-CBN. That's why Jolina is excited with the project.

More than it's being most physically and emotionally challenging role so far, it was the theme of "Thelma" that Maja Salvador finds very attractive.
"Ang ganda," said Maja of the story which is about the triumph of the spirit. "Like Thelma, I have also known hardships, that's why I found it easy to identify with her."
Produced by Time Horizon Pictures in cooperation with Abracadabra Productions, and to be released by Star Cinema on September 7, "Thelma" is directed by Paul Soriano, it also stars Tetchie Agbayani, John Arcilla, Eliza Pineda, Jason Abalos, Sue Prado and Elma Muros (Philippine track and field champion) in a special participation as Thelma's trainer.
An indie film, "Thelma" is a touching story of a poor teenage barrio lass from Ilocos Norte who takes up professional running as a means of living to earn money for the surgery of her little sister crippled in an accident.
"I've been getting a lot of offers to do indie films but it's 'Thelma' that I chose to do," said Maja. "It's so inspiring." Maja so loved the role that she didn't mind at all the physical challenges involved, starting with her training under Elma Muros.
