CEBU, Philippines - But sometimes life is a comic. Kevin admitted that he now finds beauty pageant a good experience and has become his newest passion in life; a surprising turn of events.
“If you think, you have what it takes, then don’t be shy to express yourself. I have learned this from my previous experience in male beauty contests. It helps me develop my self-confidence. It also helps me to know more about myself,” Kevin said.
19-year-old Kevin is a BS in Electronics & Communication Engineering student in CIT-University. He elucidated further that through beauty pageants, he found his strengths and learned from his weaknesses. He is no longer the same Kevin who is easily shaken up. Gone are the days of weakness and helplessness. He is now a picture of positive thinking and attitude.
Kevin won 3rd runner-up and Ginoong Hinulawan in the recently concluded Mr. Toledo 2011. He also joined Mr. College of Engineering and Architecture in his school. Kevin likes playing badminton, online videogames and solitaire, watching movies and painting.
Exposure, Experience, Enjoyment, and Enhancement or what Kevin calls the 4Es are the reasons why he joined the Olive-C Campus Model search this year. Kevin said that all other male candidates deserve the title but he would like to believe in the possibility of bagging the crown.
Kevin describes himself as God-fearing, wise, courageous and optimistic. He dreams to become a successful engineer in the future.
“This is my own way to help in the community; engineering for economic development. As we know it, engineers contribute to the local and national development in a rapidly changing world. It will be a great joy to be part of our country’s progress,” he averred. (FREEMAN)
