Ai Ai, Eugene plan to produce Part 4 of "Ang Tanging Ina"

- Ricky L. Calderon -

Despite the emergence of copycats through the years, none of them can hold a candle to Ai Ai de las Alas who proudly holds the enviable distinction as the country’s Her Comic Highness.

She truly deserves the title. After all, she has proven her staying drawing power, her being a “royalty,” not only in television but also in the movies and in the concert circuit.

Her box-office drawing power has been amply proven particularly by the Star Cinema “Ang Tanging Ina” franchise which has elevated Ai Ai to another level in her forthcoming outing for the 2010 Metro Manila Film Festival entry, aptly titled “Ang Tanging Ina Mo, Last Na ‘To.”

In this new movie, Ai Ai as Ina Montecillo chooses to go back to simple living with her children even if she’s already a world celebrity. Ina starts to feel that she’s now being forgotten but she doesn’t really mind – until she gets the bad news that she’s terminally ill and only has six to eight months to live. Sure to be a box-office hit again, “Ang Tanging Ina Mo, Last Na ‘To” is bound to brighten up the otherwise gloomy economic scene.

But while she said that this is the going to be the last chapter in the “Ang Tanging Ina” series (“We ought to quit while we are ahead,” said Ai Ai), the comedy concert queen is thinking of doing a part 4 of “Ang Tanging Ina” which she and best friend Eugene Domingo plan to produce themselves next year.

Angel Locsin is the newest endorser of Suzuki Skydrive 125. The star of ABS-CBN’s “Imortal” was launched as the new face of this new product of Suzuki, the scooter that was created for the urbanite, with its fashion forward aesthetics coupled with cutting-edge designs, and easy maneuverability that makes Suzuki the scooter brand of choice for women who are the epitome of contrasts: edgy, seemingly tough, yet wear their femininity proudly.

“Its’ a great honor and a rare privilege to have been chosen as the endorser of Suzuki,” said Angel at the launch held last Sunday at the SM Mall of Asia. “I am glad to be a part of the Suzuki family which is known internationally.”

In a field dominated by men, Angel dares to take the risk by agreeing to be an endorser of a motorcycle brand. “Hindi naman nakakahiya na maging endorser ng isang motorcycle kasi mahusay na brand naman ito,” added Angel.

Riding a motorcycle gives off a cool and macho vibe. The feeling of coolness when revving up the engine, and the way it weaves through a sea of traffic in the streets. The Suzuki Skydrive 125 are all that, plus it looks the part as well. With edgy and modern designs reminiscent of Suzuki’s own superbikes, it entails a look of speed and robustness.

This is why the newest face of the Suzuki Skydrive 125 is a woman who has won accolades for being one of the Sexiest Women in the Philippines of various men’s magazines, also a consummate actress, with awards and nominations under her belt. Her ability to move seamlessly from drama to action made her the perfect endorser for the Skydrive, a very agile performer on the road. She is feminine, feisty, a woman with attitude, just like the Suzuki Skydrive 125 with its CVT Transmission SOHC engine, ensuring quick and easy acceleration and control.

Angel as Suzuki’s new endorser for the Skydrive 125, is an epitome of tough feminine allure. The Suzuki Skydrive 125 reflects Angel, with its large multi reflector headlamps, sporty instrument panel, and convenient flat floor board. A Suzuki Innovation, the magnetic key shutter provides added security and peace of mind for public parking, while an underseat compartment provides storage for personal items.

Angel’s trendsetting style and her undeniable womanliness fits the image of the Suzuki Skydrive 125 of being fashion forward with radical designs and bold colors like Pearl Mirage White, Candy Summer Red and New Titan Black, making her the perfect personification for the Suzuki Skydrive.

While she has yet to be fully comfortable in riding a motorcycle, Angel is looking forward to doing a film role that would require her to ride a motorcycle. “Astig din naman ako. Sa pagiging astig, ibig kong sabihin, hindi ako takot sumubok na gumawa ng isang bagay na kakaiba. Hindi ka dapat takot as long as you know na tama ang ginagawa mo,” explained Angel.

The lead actress of ABS-CBN’s “Imortal” is currently doing a movie with Aga Muhlach for Star Cinema, with Olive Lamasan as their director.
