Celebs dominate Yahoo! 'most searched' list for 2010

CEBU, Philippines - Celebrities occupied seven of the Top 10 Yahoo! Philippines searches, led by Manny “Pambasang Kamao” Pacquiao on the no. 3 spot. The first two spots went to the NBA and the last May’s National Election results.

Filipino netizens went gaga over Anne Curtis‘ wardrobe malfunction—which happened during a dance number ABS-CBN’s “ASAP XV” in Boracay last March—making it fourth in the search logs.

Running fifth on the search engine are Shaina Magdayao and John Lloyd who became hot copy when they became a couple. But the coupling was also wracked by a major cyberspace scandal—that they were brought to a hospital after being supposedly caught in a compromising situation. The couple has since laughed it off as an outrageous rumor.

On no. 6 is the Queen of All Media Kris Aquino, who despite her “attempts” to steer clear of the limelight after her brother got elected as president, has still managed to be the center of attention, especially now that she has revived her Twitter account.

Willie Revillame landed on the no. 7 slot, thanks to his tiff with a showbiz radio commentator, the demise of his very popular “Wowowee” on ABS-CBN, his legal battle with a giant network, his jump to TV5, to his securing the services of the lovely ex-First Girlfriend Shalani Soledad as co-host.

Marian Rivera remains one of the most-searched celebs in Yahoo! Philippines this year—she is both loved and hated by Pinoy netizens because of her relationship with heartthrob Dingdong Dantes, her being reportedly a jealous girlfriend, and even her “imperfect” English.

Rounding up the Top 10 is Mariel Rodriguez—from his shocking breakup with model-actor Zanjoe Marudo to her even more shocking whirlwind romance with action star Robin Padilla. (FREEMAN)
