CEBU, Philippines - Filipino cinema takes the spotlight at Ayala Center Cebu’s Bravo! Celebrating the Filipino, which opens today at Cinema 3 and runs until July 1. Different Filipino classics that remain relevant today and have helped in molding the national identity and culture will be screened, beginning with “Perfumed Nightmare” by Kidlat Tahimik this 11am. After which, there will be a directors’ annotation and talk with directors Patrick Campos and Yason Banal. Here’s the complete schedule of screenings: June 29 – 11am “Perfumed Nightmare” (1977) and 2pm “Sister Stella L.” (1984); June 30 – 11am “Himala” (1982) and 1pm “Oro Plata Mata” (1982); and  July 1 – 11am “Ganito Kami Ngayon, Paano Kayo Noon?” (1976) and 1pm “Bayan Ko Kapit sa Patalim” (1985).
