CEBU, Philippines - The mother of “Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash of 2010” housemate Devon Seron is calling on Cebuanos to continue supporting her daughter, who has made it to the Big 6.
Devon, dubbed as the “Bubbly Promdi of Cebu,” will be joined by foreign housemates Bret, Ryan and James and Pinoy housemates Ivan and Fretzie, who’s also Cebuana, at the Big Night tomorrow, June 26, in the Ynares Sports Center in Antipolo, Rizal.
Carol Seron, mother of Devon, is already contented with the Big 6 standing of her daughter in the said reality show of ABS-CBN.
“Dili man gyud mi mag-expect nga mahimo siya nga big winner. Ang importante nga nasulod siya sa Big 6 ug malipayon na kay mi ana. Salamat kaayo sa mga nisuporta sa akong anak sukad pa lang sa pagsulod niya sa PBB house. Salig mi sa mga taga-Cebu nga suportahan nila ang akong anak hangtud mahuman ang show,” Carol said in an exclusive interview with The FREEMAN.
Through PBB, Devon’s simple background unraveled before viewers. All six members of her family live in a simple house that they are renting in barangay Labangon. Her father works as a driver while her mother is a housewife. Devon was also able to finish her High School, thanks to PBB that paid her tuition fees last March. Viewers also saw that despite many hardships, she has remained a cheerful young lady.
Carol confirmed that Devon is really the silent type of person that is why she is very thankful to PPB for it gave a chance for her daughter to discover and expose her talents, plus the experience taught her to be independent.
The 17-year-old Devon also celebrated her birthday last May 20, and her mother said that her daughter is already lucky to have been able to celebrate her birthday inside the PBB House.
Devon is one of three Cebu-based housemates who made it to this year’s PBB Teen Clash edition, wherein international teen housemates and Filipino teen housemates battle it out for a place in the Big 6. Apart from Devon, the other Cebuano housemates are Rebecca Chiongbian and Fretzie Bercede.
