PLUS: Did Robin Padilla storm house of daughter’s suitor?

Robin Padilla is definitely hot item these days. He had a successful two-week hosting job in “Wowowee” and was the object of desire of many after he joined the Jag Fashion Week at SM Mall where he walked down the ramp together with his children Kylie and Ali.

But we received news that Robin stormed a house along Times Street in Quezon City sometime in April.

According to a source, Robin stormed the house where PJ Valerio, the rumored suitor of his daughter Queenie, is staying. Many people actually saw Robin arriving at that house one night.

Our source said that one of Robin’s bodyguards came out of the vehicle first, followed by the action star.

PJ was said to be surprised with the sudden arrival of the action star in his place. He was likewise clueless as to why Robin would seek him out.

Our source said it is not clear why Robin suddenly showed up at the place where PJ is staying. But our source said it probably had something to do with Queenie, whom PJ had been courting for quite some time now.

Maybe, our source surmised, Robin was just being over-protective with his daughter.

Incidentally, Queenie is now a Kapamilya star. As her first assignment, she’s joining the cast of “Momay” where she will play a fake fortune teller.

The year 2010 is an important year for the many patrons of The Library, the premiere and pioneering live comedy venue, as the favorite party place celebrates 25 years of providing good entertainment and fun to its loyal patrons.

The Library, created and managed by Andrew de Real, fondly called by friends and colleagues as “Mamu Andrew” has transformed the nightlife of Manila into a world all its own.

What started out as a modest club along Adriatico in Manila where many people meet to drink and be merry while being regaled by jokes courtesy of the talented sing-along masters who have grown in number through the years, The Library has become a home away from home for its many loyal patrons.

It has evolved into a structural and cultural landmark along Orosa corner Nakpil and has managed to become widely regarded as a fundamental, iconic force in Filipino pop culture and in the thriving comedy entertainment industry.

Indeed, The Library has managed to sustain its status as second home to fiercely loyal patrons and has served as a career launch pad for an armada of crowd-drawing talents who have become household names in the stand-up comedy business like Philippine comedy royalty Ai Ai De las Alas, multi-awarded host-performer Arnel Ignacio and Concert Comedy King Allan K.

So brace yourselves for a grand celebration that will take place on June 21 and is guaranteed to be the biggest and most entertaining night as The Library takes off and looks forward to the next 25 years of fun, music and entertainment.

The celebration for The Library’s big shebang already started on the last week of May with featured guests like Jed Madela, Philip Lazaro, Rufi Mi, Beverly Salviejo and John Lapus.

Aside from the big musical celebration, The Library is releasing a commemorative silver anniversary coffee table book aptly titled The Library: 25 Chapters of Laughter.”

Joining the party on June 21 are Ai Ai De Las Alas, Allan K, Teri Onor, Pooh and other celebrities who have been a part of the growing years of The Library.

Barbie Forteza is nervous and excited at the same time with the latest break given to her and screen partner Joshua Dionisio by GMA 7. They are the lead stars of the upcoming series “Pilyang Kerubin” which starts airing on Monday.

Barbie is up for a big challenge since their new show “Pilyang Kerubin” is going up against the top-rating “Momay” on ABS-CBN. Both shows have elements of fantasy in their stories.

“Ayoko ko pong isipin na kaya namin tapatan, kundi man higitan ang ratings ng katapat naming show pero gagawin po namin ang lahat to come up with a good show,” said Barbie at the presscon of their new show last Tuesday.

Barbie and Joshua, as well as their co-star Elmo Magalona, are keeping their fingers crossed that the audience would support “Pilyang Kerubin.”

If all those who watched “First Time” (the initial team-up project of Barbie and Joshua) would also watch “Pilyang Kerubin,” then Barbie and Joshua can be assured of a good fighting chance against “Momay.”

Also in the cast of “Pilyang Kerubin” are Angelika dela Cruz, Raymart Santiago, Paolo Contis, Eddie Garcia, John Lapus, Ryan Yllana and Maureen Larrazabal.
