Korina reacts to reports she got booed at the concert of Tears for Fears

CEBU, Philippines - According to reports carried by Abs-cbnnews.com, Pep.ph and Pilipino Star Ngayon, Sanchez drew boos when she got focused on the giant screens, flashing the “Laban sign.” Sanchez watched the concert of the popular 80s British duo with her husband, Liberal Party vice-presidentiable Mar Roxas.

In an interview with Pilipino Star Ngayon entertainment editor (and TF columnist) Salve Asis, Korina said, “Issue of propriety na ito. Ugali ko na ang pinag-uusapan dito. Walang nakarinig ng boo. We didn’t hear it. Mar [Roxas] was there, he didn’t hear it. Pinagtatawanan lang niya. Kasi hindi naman niya talaga narinig.”

Amid allegations that the camera focus was intentional to campaign for her husband and LP, as the concert was held at the Araneta Coliseum which the Roxas family owns, this is what she had to say: “Ini-enjoy namin ang concert, nagsasayawan kami. Pinalalabas kasi nilang ginamit ko ang venue sa kampanya. Of course not, hindi ako ganun. Hindi ako doon nangangampanya. Parati na akong nasa palengke, ako na nga si Mrs. Palengke.”
