The Sweet Life Turns 3!

CEBU, Philippines - “The Sweet Life”, QTV’s premier lifestyle talk show, is moving on to its fourth year as it celebrates its third anniversary through a weeklong celebration this Monday until Friday (April 19-23)!

With main hosts Lucy Torres-Gomez and Wilma Doesnt, and roving reporter Grace Lee, “The Sweet Life” definitely celebrates its anniversary with a loud bang as it features interesting discoveries, new places, and new personalities.

On the first day of its anniversary bash (Apr. 19), Lucy gets to sit down with world renowned furniture designer Kenneth Cobonpue for an exclusive interview. Meanwhile, Wilma meets for the first time someone whom she has known all her life but has never seen in person during the GMA Pinoy TV event in San Francisco, California where Dennis Trillo, Mark Herras, JayR, Kyla, Steven Silva, and Nonito Donaire performed before a crowd of two thousand. Grace also gets to meet an interesting personality – the Balisong King of Batangas – 60-year-old Diosdado Ona – who has the largest collection of balisong. Monday also marks the first day of “The Sweet Life’s” Southern Luzon trip with Chariz Solomon and Michelle O Bombshell. Their first stop? Pandin Lake and Sampaloc Lake in San Pablo City, Laguna.

While Lucy continues her Cebu tour on Tuesday (Apr. 20) as she drops by Taboan where the best tasting Danggit in the country can be found, Wilma explores California through a visit at Jelly Belly Lane Fairfield where the world-famous gourmet candies are made. Lucy also traces the roots of local brand Bo’s Coffee and how it manages in the competitive coffee shop business. Sculptor Carlito Ortega, meanwhile, opens his house to Grace to showcase his art. Then Chariz and Michelle O Bombshell brave the rapids of the famous Pagsanjan Falls of Laguna in Road Trip.

Lucy spends a day at the lavish Crown Regency Hotel and Towers in Cebu on Wednesday (Apr. 21). Its modern amenities like the edge coaster, skywalk extreme, and 4D theater are just some of the reasons why it is envied by other hotels in Asia. In California, Wilma enjoys a day of shopping in Sta. Clara and Great Mall – the most popular mall among Pinoys in the area. In Road Trip, Chariz and Michelle go to Calagatan, Batangas where they visit Cape Santiago, the town’s oldest lighthouse, and the Transfiguration Chapel in Caleruega Church where real and reel weddings are held for its romantic view.

Lucy hits the beach on Thursday (Apr. 22)! It’s the pristine waters of Cebu for Lucy as she shows the viewers the little beautiful things that can be made out of coco leaves while Wilma basks under the California sun as she visits San Francisco’s busting commercial district – the Union Square. Over at Los Angeles, Krista Ranillo gives an exclusive peek of her daily life and her thriving business. Chariz and Michelle, meanwhile, try Lago de Oro Resort’s cable ski wakeboarding in Calatagan, the very first in the country.

To wrap up the celebration, Wilma visits US Air Force Travis base in California and meets Pinoys in the US Armed Forces on Friday (Apr. 23). She also samples the food at Intramuros, the most popular Filipino fine dining restaurant in San Francisco. Lucy, on the other hand, chats with 90s sensation Donna Cruz about life and love and then tours the world-class beach resort of Maribago in Cebu. Also in Cebu, Grace discovers the success stories of two famous Cebuano bakeshops – Shamrock and La Fortuna. And what better way to end Chariz’s and Michelle’s exciting road trip than with a hearty meal at Pamana restaurant plus a pampering at Nurture Spa in Tagaytay.
