Edu's Brother Passes Away
CEBU, Philippines - The older brother of Lakas Kampi CMD vice presidential candidate Edu Manzano, Adrian "Dicky" Manzano, 64, passed away Monday, April 5, at 4:30 pm (Pacific Time) in California.
The only Manzano sister, Gigi, said their brother, a professional accountant, succumbed to complications after he was rushed to the hospital in Torrance City two weeks ago due to a case of aortic aneurysm.
Gigi said their brother had also been waiting for a kidney donor and a transplant for roughly two years when he developed the aneurysm.
Edu was in Davao City Tuesday when he learned about the loss of his brother. This was shortly before the start of the Sukatan 2010 vice presidential forum sponsored by Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.
The former TV host-actor will take a leave of absence from his VP campaign to fly to the US for the wake and funeral.
