CEBU, Philippines - Ruffa Gutierrez decided to skipped what was supposedly her farewell episode on showbiz news program The Buzz yesterday.
In an exclusive interview with StarTalk of GMA-7, the actress-TV host said, "I would love to say goodbye to all the viewers and to the staff. But, parang feeling ko, if I'll go back pa, the issue might get worse. Sinabihan na nga ako na gumigimik. Na baka ginagamit ko yung show or yung istasyon para mapag-usapan ako."
Ruffa was referring to her issue with Kris Aquino, her former co-host on The Buzz. It will be remembered that last Sunday, Ruffa got emotional over comments made by Kris as well as her impending transfer to TV5. When Ruffa left in the middle of the show, an irate Annabelle Rama, Ruffa's mother and talent manager at the same time, hit Kris on the rival show, calling on viewers not to vote for her presidential brother, Sen. Noynoy Aquino, so as not to inflate Kris' sense of self.
Kris has since apologized, and Ruffa has accepted the public apology. Asked what's her message to Kris, she said: "I hope to see you soon. I already miss Baby James and tell him Lorin and Venice miss him too. I hope that we can put this episode behind us. I just moved on."
Meanwhile, Kris Aquino breaks down after watching the taped interview of Ruffa. Kris complained, without naming names, about being used by other people to attack her brother Noynoy's candidacy.
