AiAi to do V-Day concert, TV show with Aga Muhlach
Senator Jinggoy Estrada is in a happy mood and for a good reason.
To be rating well in the surveys among the senatorial aspirants warms the heart of the senator from San Juan. When told that even his bosom buddy Senator Bong Revilla is also doing well in the surveys, he said that he and Bong never talk about the results of the surveys, but he is likewise gladdened that his good friend is faring well.
What Jinggoy is not too happy about was the non-appearance of his fellow senators during their last session at the hallowed walls of the Senate, which caused the non-passage of some important bills.
“There was a lot of priority bills that needed to be passed on our last session day in the Senate but the other senators did not come. We would have passed the Philippine Immigration Act that would have replaced our 70-year-old law on Immigration but since many of my colleagues did not come, we would have to wait anew before that bill could be passed and enacted into law. That is a very important bill for our country to progress. We also would have passed a law creating a Tax Academy but this was not approved because there was no quorum,” said the senator who is seeking reelection.
“It was not only the C5 road controversy that needed to be tackled but a number of other important bills. My absent colleagues said that they boycotted the session because they didn’t want to pass the priority bills being pushed by Malacañang, the pro-GMA bills, but that’s not true. Those bills were not in the calendar like the term extension bills. These senators just didn’t want to vote on the C5 road controversy because of the involvement of Senator Manny Villar in the issue,” explained Jinggoy.
He also said that "one bill that I like to propose is to give back the matter of running the Metro Manila Film Festival to film industry people, no longer with the MMDA (Metropolitan Manila Development Authority) so that the proceeds of the festival would benefit the people from the film industry,” said Jinggoy.

Concertgoers are now counting the days leading to the highly-anticipated Valentine concert of Martin Nievera and Pops Fernandez titled “One Amore Time” on February 14 at the SMX Convention Center in SM Mall of Asia.
Martin considers “One Amore Time” special because he and Pops will once again get to celebrate love in a way that only they can. “When Pops and I do a show together, it’s more real compared to others because we have a past even as we have a present because of our kids.”
Despite having gone on separate ways, they have also found a way to be friends again. Afterall, they have their kids Robin and Ram who will always connect them together. And what makes the concert extra special is because Robin thought up the title “One Amore Time”.
Martin revealed that their friendship has now reached the point when they can look back on their past without bitterness. They even greeted each other last year, June 28, the day they got married.
Pops looks forward to singing songs in the concert that they have not yet done before. “It’s one Valentine’s show where you’ll feel love just by watching it whether you already have someone special or not. We’re looking into doing old and new songs, either popular or obscure, that we’ve not done before so it’s something new both for us and our fans.”
