Cameras start grinding for Juday-Sarah starrer "Hating Kapatid"

CEBU, Philippines - The new year – and a new decade – is off to a good start for Judy Ann Santos and Sarah Geronimo. The young superstars have started shooting for their first team-up: Viva Films’ “Hating Kapatid.”

Judy Ann and Sarah, who are playing the title roles, are not only excited to work together. They also have a mutual admiration for each other.

“Blessing na naman from God na makatrabaho ko ang nag-iisang Judy Ann Santos,” said Sarah.

She can’t thank her mother studio enough for trusting her with the role and giving her this chance to do drama.

“It’s a big, big challenge,” stated Sarah.

Judy Ann, on the other hand, has no doubt Sarah will succeed in making the big shift from the romance-comedies she’s been doing to light drama.

 “I’m just hoping that the concept will suit our tandem and that the audience will appreciate it,” Judy Ann said. This way, she added, more people will appreciate Sarah’s many talents.

The chemistry between them, therefore, is built-in. So chances are, their director, Wenn Deramas will not have a hard time on the set. More than anyone though, it is the audience who will emerge the big winner in the film. They will see Sarah in a new role and Judy Ann in a portrayal they have long loved seeing her in. They will see two superstars pit talents in one heart-tugging moment after another.

“Hating Kapatid” also stars Luis Manzano (as Sarah’s leading man). It is written by Mel Mendioza-del Rosario.
