Ruffa shoots down speculations about her lovelife
Kris Aquino revealed that ABS-CBN is talking with a major Hollywood production outfit for the possibility of doing the life story of her parents, former Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino and former President Corazon “Cory” Aquino. The occasion was the press launch of Kris as the newest endorser of 555 Tuna brand.
But the multi-media star declined to name the production outfit that ABS-CBN is having talks with since she might incur the ire of her bosses at the Kapamilya station. But if ever the project pushes through, Kris said she wants a lady director to be at the helm. She didn’t specify her choice although she named the likes of Marilou Diaz Abaya and Laurice Guillen.
Kris also mentioned that in one of their talks as a family, she and her sisters thought of names of stars that they would like to portray them on the planned film project. Should it push through, Kris said she would love to see Vilma Santos or Sharon Cuneta portray her mom. For her part, Kris chose Kapamilya star Kim Chiu to portray herself.
The TV host also didn’t mention what would be the focus of the film—would it be Ninoy or Cory? Not too many people know the real story of Ninoy after he was jailed and then went into exile, while Cory’s life went through several hardships, from the time she became president and until she met her death last August 1.
But Kris said that ABS-CBN is preparing a documentary in time for Cory’s concert birthday on January. She said this is a must-see for all those who admire the first woman president of the Philippines and Ninoy as well.
Going back to 555 Tuna, Kris said she used her talent here to buy TV spots for her brother Noynoy. Kris said she was given a fair deal and it was an amount that she feels she deserves.
According to the market research, 555 Tuna owns 95% of the country’s consumers. Now that 555 has gotten the services of Kris, they are hopeful that 555 tuna would get 100% of the market share.

Ruffa Gutierrez is being linked to Councilor Jun Jun Binay of Makati City who was recently widowed. The actress strongly denied any romantic link with the good councilor. The other day, we received a forwarded message coming from Ruffa which read:
“After my shoot for ‘Shake, Rattle & Roll 11’ ended at 7 a.m., I dropped off Lorin to school. On the way there, nagkuwentuhan kami about school; her lessons for the day... I asked her who were her favorite classmates. She mentioned several names and as I was almost dozing off in the car because I was so sleepy, she said ‘She died.’ I said, ‘Who died?’ She said her mom. Alexis’ mom died (Alexi Binay). She’s seven years old, one day older than Lorin. That’s so sad, Lorin added.
Ruffa continued, “[I asked] why, what happened to her? Lorin said, she died giving birth three months ago. She had to choose between saving her life and that of the baby. Alexis’ mom was very mabait. Her grandpa is Mayor Jojemar Binay.”
Ruffa added that her conversation with “Lorin may not mean anything to you, but if left me in tears. On that note, I’d like to appeal that the teasing to Counclor Jojo Binay, whom I’ve met only once and spoken a few words with when I registered in Makati last November, to stop. The slightest insinuation of me and the councilor is disrespectful to the memory of his dear wife who died recently.
“Same thing with Senator Mar Roxas. There will always be speculation when it comes to my lovelife which I am trying to be private about. This much I can share. I am super happy now with my life, work, and most specially, with my family.”
