CEBU, Philippines - Twenty hopefuls will vie for the coveted crown of this year’s “Search for Miss Silka-Cebu 2009.” The final judgment as to the rightful holder will be on August 29, 2009 at Brgy. Guadalupe Gym, Cebu City.
Now on its second season, this pageant that celebrates beautiful skin is presented by Cosmetique Asia, the makers of quality products – Silka & Juicy Cologne. The pageant is also staged in the different major cities of the country.
The pageant is participated by beauties from the different schools and barangays of Cebu City, comprised of young Silka-users from 15-24 years of age.
Swimwear and Evening Gown competitions were done last August 1 at the Alta Cebu Garden Village Resort in Cordova, Cebu, while the Talent show took place at the Elizabeth Mall Activity Center last August 15. The ladies were able to wear the creations of fashion designer Lemuel E. Rosos, who is also the pageant director.
The criteria for judging for the next Miss Silka-Cebu will be based on beauty, brains, talent and votes—after all, beauty is more than just skin-deep.
Silka endorser and actress/TV host Iya Villania will be gracing the coronation night which will start at 7:00 in the evening. She will be joined by Miss Silka-Cebu 2008 Joanne Loren Ocampo.
