Miss Cebu Kris Janson "wears her pride"

CEBU, Philippines – The local gem with a dazzling smile, Kris Janson has captured the hearts and eyes of Cebu. “Our rich culture and heritage produce our charm in different types of beauty,” she says.

After bagging the Miss Cebu 2009 crown, Kris has also become one of the most sought-after models in the city. More than just a pretty face, beauty is not only skin-deep for this queen.

Kris is an accounting major who belongs to a devoutly Catholic family – showing that intellect and spirituality are part of her appeal. She is currently working on a campaign called “Trash for Cash”, a project that designs clothes out of patchwork and turns scrap fabric into dolls.

Her crown is not only a symbol of her beauty, but a badge she proudly wears in order to make a change for her Filipino people. It is for this reason that Kris Janson joins the roster of 20 local faces and personalities tapped to wear their pride via P.i. or Philippine Islands, a new brand of apparel by Islands Souvenirs that features modern, patriotic designs.

P.i aims to arouse a new movement that young Filipinos would proudly be part of—and these personalities as well as Janson were chosen to for the passion, skills and accomplishments in different fields that effect inspiration and positive change in many Filipino youths. P.i shirts are available in all Island Souvenirs outlets.
