New sex video: Hayden Kho-Maricar Reyes

SHOWBIZ DRIBBLE - Salve V. Asis -

Is Tito Dougs like hell!” wrote Jake Tordesillas in his Facebook wall. Jake’s lament is echoed by everyone in showbiz who knew Douglas Quijano.

But Tito Dougs is perhaps missed most by his wards. One of them, Joey Marquez, still can’t believe that his beloved talent manager has passed away. Joey had always reminded Tito Dougs when he was still alive, “Take care of yourself because we’d be lost if you leave us.” It is Joey who is looking after Tito Dougs’ house in Lucban, Quezon.

Last Tuesday, Richard Gomez and Lucy Torres arrived from the US and went straight to Tito Dougs’ wake. Goma was hit hard by the loss of his manager, who was like a father to him and Lucy.

Even the staff of Ethnic Home, the talent manager’s favorite furniture store in Makati, couldn’t believe he’s gone. Recounts Donie, one of the store’s staff, Tito Dougs visited the store three days before he died to buy a throw pillow for his car. He also bought a lot of teak oil for his furniture in Lucban.

Tito Dougs also used to buy his supply of candles from the store.

The newest version of the sex video of Dr. Hayden Kho and aspiring actress Maricar Reyes being circulated via cellphone is worse than a hardcore porn film. It features a much younger Maricar in explicit scenes complete with audio. She and Hayden are talking about buying a laptop, which gave Hayden the excuse to use the built-in camera of a laptop to shoot the video.

Still on the sex video scandal, Katrina Halili is asking the Department of Health to revoke the license of the Belo Medical Group for negligence in connection with the liposuction performed on her by Hayden.

According to Katrina’s lawyer, Raymund Palad, when Hayden performed the liposuction in August 2007, he had no surgery residency, and lacked the qualification, training and specialization as a cosmetic surgeon. Because Hayden was working for the clinic at the time, Dr. Vicki Belo is guilty of negligence.

Palad said Hayden passed the medical board exam in February 2007. This violates the rules of the DOH on the Licensure and Regulation of Ambulatory Surgical Clinics, which state that a surgeon must have four years of medical residency before he is allowed to practice.

Palad said it was the second complaint of medical malpractice filed against the Belo Medical Group. The first was filed by a US-based nurse.

Ogie Alcasid is happy for his ex, Michelle van Eimeren, who is reportedly marrying her boyfriend in November. And guess what? Ogie is attending the wedding in Australia, probably with his present partner, Regine Velasquez!

Ogie and Michelle were granted an annulment August last year. The two have two children.

The singer-composer says whatever makes Michelle happy will make him happy too.

Hmm. Does this mean that Michelle would be attending the wedding of Ogie and Regine?

Philippine audiences might not get to see Brillante Mendoza’s Kinatay in local screens. That’s because the director, who is the first Filipino to win the prestigious Palme d’Or in the Cannes film festival, prefers to screen Kinatay in select theaters.

In an interview, Brillante admits he is reluctant to go commercial. “I'm not ready to go mainstream. I am not comfortable in mainstream movies," he said.

His movies, said Brillante, are too “disturbing” for the moviegoer who goes for feel-good films. “The Filipino audience is not ready for this kind of material. I have to accept that most of my films are not being watched in the Philippines. They are used to Hollywood and the commercial movies,” the 48-year-old director said.
