How Judy Ann And Ryan Pulled Off Secret Wedding
How Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo kept their wedding a secret from everyone, save for a small circle of friends, is no small feat. But they managed to pull it off. For months Juday and Ryan had kept their friends and the media guessing as to the exact date they were tying the knot. There were broad hints about the month, but they never revealed the day or the venue.
So everyone was caught by surprise when radio stations started airing sketchy reports Tuesday afternoon that the two were married earlier that day in simple ceremonies in a church in San Juan, Batangas.
Details of the marriage and the reception are beginning to leak out from the few people who were invited to the affair. Most of the juicy morsels, however, were provided by Noel Ferrer, Ryan’s manager.
It was also Noel who explained the secrecy behind the ceremony and its preparation. In a radio interview he said Juday and Ryan didn’t want their wedding to become one big circus. They saw it happen before, with Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion, with Lorna Tolentino and Rudy Fernandez, and Vilma Santos and Ralph Recto. Surging fans had mobbed the venue, and so did photographers and reporters.
Juday and Ryan wanted to preserve the solemnity of the ceremony. They wanted their wedding to be a private affair, according to Noel.
As expected, there were those who felt slighted because they were not invited. The buzz was that Regal big boss Lily Monteverde was upset because she was not in the guest list. Noel confirmed that Mother Lily had not been invited, but it’s because it would have been too much of an effort for her to get up so early in the morning just to attend the ceremony. Besides, she has been invited to a party the newlyweds will throw for those who had been left out.
And what about Juday’s manager Alfie Lorenzo, who had insinuated that he was going to boycott the wedding? Noel said Alfie made it to the wedding but that he arrived late. In a TV interview last Friday, Alfie said he felt bad because he was not part of the couple’s “inner circle” that planned the wedding. But he said he wished the couple well, and hoped they would avoid the jinx that hounded other showbiz sweethearts who got married in grand style only to split up later.
The couple is not planning a long honeymoon, if they’re having one at all, because of their showbiz commitments.

Kris Aquino is said to have been driven to tears because Sen. Mar Roxas and Korina Sanchez broke their promise to her to reveal their plan to get married on her show, Showbiz News Ngayon (SNN). Instead, Mar and Korina made the revelation in a noontime show.
“I was so disappointed because I had told Boy (Abunda) they would be breaking the news on SNN. We had known the story all along. I was so sure because Mar is just like a brother to me and Korina and I have long been friends,” said Kris. The couple is said to have sent flowers to the TV host as a peace offering.

Broadcasters in the US who utter profanities or expletives on air will be subject to fines.
The US Supreme Court last week ruled in favor of the Federal Communications Commission, which adopted a policy banning the one-time use of profanity on live TV especially when children are likely to be watching.
It turned out that singer Cher and actress Nicole Richie may have triggered the ruling. In 2006, FCC had ruled that News Corp’s Fox television network violated decency rules when Cher mouthed a profanity during the 2002 Billboard Music Awards broadcast and Richie used two expletives during the 2003 awards
