CEBU, Philippines – The final, special effects-packed trailer of Warner Bros.’ fantasy adventure Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince makes its debut in Philippine theaters on Thursday, April 30 as an added attraction to X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) is tightening his grip on both the Muggle and Wizard worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) suspects that dangers may even lie within the castle, but Dumbledore (Michael Gambon) is more intent upon preparing him for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching.
"Once you're hooked into Harry Potter, it's really difficult to let go," director David Yates says of the appeal of the hugely popular film franchise. "The audience has grown up with these characters. I think that gives them a very special relationship. I can't think of any other movie franchise that has had that. They started out at 10 or 11, and now they're 18 and 19."
Still heading the cast, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson are reprising their roles as young wizards Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, who are facing new challenges and dangers in the wake of Lord Voldemort’s return. They will be reunited with returning Harry Potter cast members, including Helena Bonham Carter, David Bradley, Robbie Coltrane, Warwick Davis, Tom Felton, Michael Gambon, Alan Rickman, Maggie Smith, Natalia Tena, Julie Walters and David Thewlis, as well as Evanna Lynch, Matthew Lewis and Bonnie Wright.
Opening across the Philippines this July, “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” is distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.
