CEBU, Philippines - The Western Union Company, a global leader in money transfer services is looking for golden Filipino talents nationwide with its Gintong Galing Talent Search.
The Western Union Gintong Galing Talent Search will offer contestants a once-in-a-lifetime chance of sharing the spotlight with some of the country’s top performers — Jericho Rosales, Christian Bautista, and Yeng Constantino, at a series of Western Union-sponsored concerts and win a cash prize of up to P100,000. Winners can also invite a family member or a friend to the concert to watch their golden performance and enjoy time together.
Hosted by renowned comedian Chokoleit, a one-day audition will be held respectively in Cebu, Davao, and Manila where the top five contestants will be selected from each city. Each of these five contestants will receive a cash prize of P20,000 and have a chance to perform at the concert in their respective city where an eventual winner will be chosen. Each winner will receive a cash prize of P100,000.
“The Western Union Gintong Galing Talent Search program is designed to provide a platform for Filipinos to reveal their hidden talents and experience performing in a professional venue,” said Patricia Riingen, Western Union Senior Vice President, Pacific and Indochina. “As we value and recognize Filipino’s golden talents, this also creates opportunities for OFW families to bond and enjoy time together.”
Family members of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) are encouraged to join the search. A contestant’s performance or act may range from vocal interpretation (solo, duet, group) with or without musical accompaniment, dance numbers (solo, partners, group) in any type of dance (hip-hop, ballroom, contemporary), improvisation comedy (impersonation, stand-up), or acrobatic performance. They may be a solo or in group of not more than five members.
