CEBU, Philippines - Philippine sports’ most promising names and most recognizable faces gear up for a fight they have never experienced before, until they set foot on “The Singing Bee” arena this Sunday, March 1.
Height won’t be an advantage for the basketball trio of Paul Artadi, Ronald Tubid, and Arwind Santos, who won’t be shooting hoops but singing songs in the missing lyrics game hosted by Cesar Montano.
Sluggers Onyok Velasco, Milan Melindo, and Z Gorres won’t need their gloves too, because they will be holding a microphone to get to through the show’s exciting and heart-thumping rounds.
Decorated taekwondo jins Donny Geisler, Toni Rivero, and Japoy Lizardo will also go from black belters to musical “belters” as they keep in step with the rest of the filed, including Team Dancesport and Team Lady Maroons.
The volleyball players from UP Diliman aim for the P2 million jackpot to support the recuperation of their injured teammates.
However, before the athletes get their games going, the men and women in uniform take their vocal guns out for a crack at the jackpot against defending champion Team Side A this Saturday, Feb. 28.
Led by frontman Joey Generoso, Team Side A will have to outgun the trios from the Philippine Army, the Philippine Navy, and the Philippine National Police.
Also on target to snipe at the prize are the guards from Intramuros and the enforcers of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority.
Meanwhile, viewers are also up for some cash with the “Singing Bee A or Bee” text promo. To join, simply answer the question of the week through texting BEE <letter of answer> to 2366 for a chance to win P20,000. Each text is a download costing P15.
Don’t miss the “The Singing Bee” after “Komiks Presents: Flash Bomba” this Saturday (Feb. 28) and Sunday (March 1) after “Goin’ Bulilit” on ABS-CBN.
