Donna Cruz-Larrazabal is joining the 10-mile marathon in San Francisco, US in April next year. The singer-actress, who has been based in Cebu since she got married, has taken interest in running, taking inspiration from her husband, Dr. Yong Larrazabal, who’s an active marathon runner. In fact, she has registered for the race together with Dr. Yong.
Donna is excited that she’s joining a race of that magnitude. Since her husband started running, Donna also got the feel of the sport as well.
How ready is she? Can she really do it? “I can. I have been training for one month now in preparation for the race,” she relayed through a text message. “I have been running everyday for one month now. I can already do 34 minutes for the 5-kilometer race. My goal is to reach a time of 28 minutes for the said distance.”
She’s also joining the Subic Marathon, a 10-kilometer race this coming January. “Running is fun,” said Donna who reached her full month of training last Sunday. She’s looking forward to doing more races in the future.

Gary Valenciano has surprised the audience at his 25th anniversary concert by introducing Karylle as newest member of the Kapamilya network. They’ve shared the stage with Rachelle Ann Go and Laarni Lozada in a retrospective production number.
“…We will welcome you with open arms, and we will love you just as many have always loved you,” said Gary.
Gary and Karylle sang “Could We,” which was recorded years ago by Gary and Zsa Zsa Padilla, Karylle’s mom. Gary and Regine Velasquez later on recorded the song with Tagalog lyrics and a new title, “Muli.” Mon Faustino, Gary’s musical arranger for the last 19 years, has arranged Gary and Karylle’s version.
Wearing an electric blue satin cocktail dress, Karylle was warmly received by the audience with loud cheers and applause.
