Jennylyn and Mark reunite in 'Dear Friend'

This Sunday, the first Starstruck Ultimate Survivors and former sweethearts Jennylyn Mercado and Mark Herras reunite onscreen in a special two-part episode of the youth-oriented drama anthology, Dear Friend.

After taking a break from television, Jennylyn is now back and all set to take the spotlight with Mark as her partner. Their team up is a welcome treat for their fans and loyal supporters who have constantly wished and requested their reunion as a love team.   

In the “Puntod” episode, Jennylyn plays the role of Toni who until now longs for her departed boyfriend. As Toni frequents the cemetery to visit him, she would always find Alex (Mark) offering flowers on the grave of her mother. Soon, they became friends and eventually lovers.

They soon find themselves attracted to each other. However, every time they are together, Toni tends to compare Alex to her former boyfriend. Will their relationship last? Can Toni leave her past behind and accept Alex as her present beau?

With Director Jun Lana at the helm, Jennylyn and Mark promise to give an exceptional performance as tribute to everyone who misses their tandem onscreen. Also in the cast are Mike Tan, Ryza Cenon, Paolo Avelino and Jana Roxas. Lovi Poe sings the episode theme song of “Puntod.”

Dear Friend airs this Sunday right after S.O.P. only here on GMA.
