A show which focuses on the struggles and triumphs of our modern superheroes as a wife, mother and a career woman, MomWorks features topics that matter to women the most such as career issues, home management, a child’s personality formation and even keeping the romance live.

Who better to host the said show than a supermom herself, Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan. A wife to husband Anthony, a mother to four beautiful children and a certified career woman, Maricel has her hands full, just like any other woman. Maricel has made over twenty films and has guested in numerous Philippine TV programs.

Aside from fulfilling her duties and the joy as a wife and mother, Maricel is also an author of books about family. One of her books is Mommytalk which is a bestseller. She is also a columnist for one of the country’s top broadsheets under the same title. 

She and her husband share their experiences and vision as parents through The Parenting Company. She earned her BS degree in Social Science from the University of the Philippines and is currently earning her master’s degree in Family Life and Child Development, also from UP. She has earned major awards and citations, as an actress and as a mother.

In the many years she has been in the industry while juggling the responsibilities of being a mother, she shares, “There is no such thing as a non-working mom. Once you become a mother, that’s work itself – every minute, every second, every moment. And it’s one of the most fulfilling jobs a woman can have.”
