This November, GMA-7 strengthens launches another timeless romantic movie-turned-TV series with the premiere of Sine Novela presents My Only Love.
My Only Love is a blockbuster romantic hit movie featuring the country’s famous loveteam two decades ago—Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion. But today, the creative team behind Sine Novela has given My Only Love a new twist, making this timeless film-masterpiece-on-television series more interesting.
Instead of presenting a storyline of teenage romance, Sine Novela’s My Only Love evolves to be the latest tearjerker afternoon drama that brings to light the value of friendship, sacrifice and standing for your only love.
Featuring today’s hottest Kapuso stars—Mark Herras, Rhian Ramos, Bianca King, with Alfred Vargas in a special performance—this much-awaited fifth instalment of Sine Novela will capture the interest of the viewers as the story revolves around the colourful life of Cindy (Rhian Ramos), a spoiled, boyish, down-to-earth and once wealthy girl who becomes a poor young woman.
Joining them are Rita Avila, Llyod Samartino, Sherilyn Reyes, Ruby Rodriguez, Gladys Reyes, Marco Alcaraz, Kevin Santos, Stef Prescott and Tess Bomb.
Cindy Moreno is the daughter of rich cosmetic surgeon Ricardo (Lloyd Samartino) and Camille (Rita Avila). Cindy has stepsisters namely Trixie (Bianca King) and Tiffany (Stef Prescot) from Ricardo’s first marriage.
Trixie is a kind and amiable stepsister to Cindy who will fall in love with the latter’s friend Billy (Mark Herras). However, her priority is her ballet dancing, which will eventually become a problem with her relationship with Billy.
Tiffany, on the other hand, is the mean stepsister, a rebellious daughter and considered the black sheep in the family. Tiffany will connive with her aunt Loren (Sherilyn Reyes), sister-in law of Ricardo on his first marriage, to make Cindy and Camille’s life miserable.
Unfortunately, Cindy, together with her parents, meets a vehicular accident, from which Ricardo is killed on the spot while Camille suffers from mental illness. Meanwhile, Loren and Tiffany take advantage of the opportunity as they ransack the house of the Morenos.
When Cindy and Camille get home, Loren confronts them and accuses that the young lady is not Ricardo’s real daughter and the marriage between Camille and her brother-in law was void. Loren wants them to leave the house but Trixie makes an appeal on their behalf.
Loren, a dermatologist in the beauty center owned by the Morenos, allows Cindy and Camille to stay on a condition that the young sporty girl has to work for their stay in the house. Cindy works in the beauty center where Loren and Tiffany indulges in making her life miserable.
At the beauty center, Cindy meets Emman (Alfred Vargas), a gym enthusiast whom Loren discovers to become the model of the establishment, who gets easily smitten by the beauty and charm of Cindy. The two get along well and soon fall in love.
This angers Loren even more because she wants Emman for herself. Aiming to seduce Emman, Loren becomes victorious when Cindy catches her and Emman in an awkward situation. Brokenhearted, Cindy runs to her friend Billy for a shoulder to cry on. Since Trixie left temporarily for her ballet dancing abroad, the friendship between Cindy and Billy grows much stronger and develops into love.
Cindy’s life changes when Trixie returns home and becomes her worst enemy after finding out about her relationship with Billy. With a life outside the Moreno mansion, will Cindy together with her disabled mother be able to carry the responsibility of being the breadwinner and make ends meet? With Loren, Tiffany and Trixie joining forces to put her down, can Cindy withstand all the hardships she has to face to save her only love?
With director Louie Ignacio at the helm, don’t miss the premiere of another heart-warming movie-turned-TV series as Sine Novela presents My Only Love on November 12 after Pasan Ko Ang Daigdig on GMA-7’s Dramarama sa Hapon.
