GMA''s PANATA breaks in Cebu
April 13, 2007 | 12:00am
The "Panata" series reiterates GMA Network''s unrelenting pursuit of truth and adherence to honest-to-goodness public service. "Panata" brings forth GMA news organization''s core thrusts - balitang walang kinikilingan, walang pinoprotektahan, walang kasinungalingan; serbisyong totoo lang.
The "Panata" first broke ground in 2004. This year, a more personal approach was incorporated as the views of common people were woven into the concept. Now, the whole force of GMA News Cebu join hands with ordinary Cebuanos as they assert their individual and collective views on the type of news and brand of service they prefer and altogether deserve.
This approach was perfect for the Cebu News team, whose thrust of providing news delivered by local people for the local people, has proven to be more popular and effective. Hence, the "Panata" was executed in the regions by a formidable creative team-Writer Alex Almario, Art Director Dennis Tiu, Associate Creative Director Dong Tan, Director Vince Gealogo and Director of Photography Neil Nanquil. Gealogo and Nanquil are the same team that shot the national version of the "Panata."
Inspired by the national version which features the biggest and most-respected names in the broadcast industry, the "Panata" Regional Version presents the entire news team in Cebu led by BALITANG BISDAK''S main man BOBBY NALZARO.
Joining Super Bob in the plug are the equally hardworking men and women of GMA News and Public Affairs Cebu-correspondents Cecille Quibod, Jun Veliganio, Alan Domingo, Vic Serna, Mon Auxtero, Aynee Triunfante, Chona Carrion, Lou Ann Rondina and Lalaine Go together with the production and technical staff of Balitang Bisdak.
In Cebu''s "Panata," the symbiosis between GMA''s regional news group and its viewers is presented in various vignettes-all showing a people''s collective passion for news and the truth-a trademark of GMA News and Public Affairs as it remains the most trusted news organization nationwide.
The PANATA Cebu Version will be unveiled today within BALITANG BISDAK.
