ABS-CBN spotlights these three stars in ABS-CBN's newest program, Sineserye Presents: Palimos ng Pag-Ibig, which begins today, Monday, March 5, from 6 to 6:30 PM, right before TV Patrol.
As another pioneering TV format from ABS-CBN, Sineserye is a miniseries featuring classics and beloved movie properties remade with the era's hottest, most dynamic stars and most creative directors for a fuller, more heartfelt treatment of stories that we have loved before. Back-stories are explored, supporting characters are fleshed out, and new complications are introduced to make these stories a fantastic fit for all of ABS-CBN's beautifully-produced primetime treats.
As the pilot offering, Sineserye Presents: Palimos ng Pag-Ibig is, of course, a remake of the most controversial drama of its day: a love triangle that involved a man, a woman, and another young woman whose baby the couple wanted to buy. Because of this, and because of the star-studded trio of Vilma Santos, Edu Manzano and Dina Bonnevie, the movie was a huge hit.
ABS-CBN matches that movie's star power with Rica Peralejo in the Vilma Santos role, Diether Ocampo in the Edu Manzano role, and Kristine Hermosa, in one of her most adult roles, in the part of the babymaker that Dina Bonnevie made famous.
Remembered to this day for its memorable line "Para kang karendiryang bukas sa lahat ng gustong kumain," "Palimos ng Pag-Ibig" is a story full of conflict, hard choices, and emotion-a perfect beginning to this intriguing new TV offering, which continues ABS-CBN's years of innovation in the TV industry.
Taking on important roles in Sineserye Presents: Palimos ng Pag-Ibig are Desiree del Valle, Carlos Agassi, Enchong Dee, Deejay Durano, Susan Africa, Eugene Domingo and Helga Krapf.
Sineserye Presents: Palimos ng Pag-Ibig also gathers together some of ABS-CBN's top creative and production personnel, starting with directors Wenn Deramas and Andoy Ranay, who directed the entire run. Sineserye Presents: Palimos ng Pag-Ibig is written by Agnes Gagilonia-Uligan. Racquel Ubana is the series' executive producer for Sineserye, with Nini Matilac as Production Manager. Rondel Lindayag is the series' Creative Manager. Roldeo T. Endrinal is Sineserye's Executive in Charge of Production.
