"The company is now targeting the oft-neglected youth market and our efforts are positioned in that direction. We want them to start taking care of their complexion at the right tender age of 15. We decided to get Pauleen Luna and Rae Carrera as our new image models because, aside from being ultra-pretty, both perfectly embody the brand's image: fresh, vibrant, zesty and full of vitality. Both Pauleen and Rae possess a classic and ethereal beauty uniquely their own," said Rene Garcia, president and CEO of Pureform Cosmetics, makers of Renew Placenta products.
Starting out as a sub-contract manufacturer for local and foreign companies in 1991, Pureform Cosmetics gradually evolved into the country's pioneering manufacturer of skin care products using natural placenta and fruit extracts. Launched in 1998, Renew Placenta quickly became a household name. Other companies attempted to copy the unique formulation but failed.
Rene Garcia and wife Grace would travel the world over to keep themselves abreast with the latest skincare technology and beauty trends. Each year, they attend seminars and symposia on advancements in product formulation so that they can introduce the same in the homefront. The couple also regularly attends the Cosmo-Prof Asia Convention in Hong Kong, the annual Health and Beauty exposition in New York, U.S.A, as well as the Wellness Trade Fair in Milan, Italy.
"We've been enjoying eight years of continued patronage from loyal consumers. We went through all the effort to re-launch our products to answer negative issues hurled against us by detractors. All allegations are unfounded and untrue. Some of them are even facing litigation as we speak," revealed Grace Garcia upon asked to comment on the controversy about another company's alleged use of their patented trade-name.
