Iwa Moto cries, walks out of presscon

- Ricky L. Calderon -
Iwa Moto cried and walked out at the presscon of "Pitong Dalagita" of Canary Films last Tuesday. She was upset when asked about a headline, which read that she dared "Posh" co-star PJ Valerio to have sex with her.

Iwa said that they were just talking about many topics while they were inside a van on the way to the location of "Posh" last week. When she was asked about it during the open forum, she claims sex was not really the topic, but was just mentioned in passing. She was also careful not to mention the name of PJ in her answer although she said that PJ was in the service van together with Vince, Nikki Bacolod, and the show's executive producer named Evelyn.

"Wala akong car so sumabay ako sa service. Noong nasa service ako kasabay ko roon yung dalawang lalake, si Vince at si PJ, and si Nikki Bacolod. Nikki and I are very good friends so we were talking, at saka si Ms. Evelyn, yung EP namin. Hindi naman natin maiiwasan na ang kuwentuhan ay umabot sa ibang level. Normal na sa tao ang nagsasalita tungkol sa sex pero sa point ko, I am not telling na parang ganito... alam mo pinag-uusapan natin ang sex, virgin chuva so topic talaga siya. Hindi ko sinabi na ganyan. Topic talaga siya. I don't know kung may nagsabi. Pero I don't care pa rin, " she answered during the open forum.

While Iwa chose to deny having said the "f" word in Tagalog, something that shocked the people inside the service van, we stand by our source that she did say that word, silencing the people inside the van. We expected that she's going to deny having said that but if we were to analyze her answer, she was trying to skirt the issue with her vague response.

We know Iwa has this image of being pasaway and she's trying to behave after having been suspended. But she can really be frank and outspoken, as proven during the early days of "Starstruck" where even Lorna Tolentino and director Louie Ignacio said a mouthful regarding her pasaway attitude. She should really be careful whenever she says something-maybe choosing her words carefully and thinking before saying anything that she might regret or deny later. As the Tagalog saying goes, "Ang isda ay nahuhuli sa bibig."
Gary V. continues to share
Gary Valenciano continues to share himself, whether it be in his homeland or in the countries the world over.

"Relevance," his latest album under Universal Records and boasts of the carrier single "Wait Forever," now has a double treat for music lovers with the release of the ballad "You Gave Me Reason" and the catchy "Shake it Off." Both songs are enjoying heavy airplay and rotation in leading radio stations in Metro Manila. The music video for "You Gave Me Reason," which was shot a day before Gary left for the second leg of his US tour, is also something to look forward to. It features a fresh new concept and was directed by Paul Soriano.

Marking his 23rd year in the business, Gary has won awards and wowed crowds in filled-up venues, raising the bar and proving time and again that he remains to be one of the most relevant artists in the country today. Recently, his album "Pure Heart" (under Star Records) won the award for Best Album (Secular) at this year's Catholic Mass Media Awards. While in the United States, he was invited by 700 Club USA to share his testimony, showing that Gary's life itself, not just his career as an artist is an inspirational story of blessing and anointing from above.

Gary is also a multiple nominee in the first ASAP Pop Awards, nominated in the following categories: Pop Male Artist, Pop Male Performance and Pop Song for "Wait Forever."
Cristine Reyes moving to ABS-CBN
Cristine Reyes, one of the stars of "Pitong Dalagita," wouln't want to comment when asked if it's true that she's transferring to ABS-CBN next year after her contract with GMA 7 expires by the end of January. We came upon the item that she was moving to the Kapamilya network on the Internet.

"Secret" was her answer to writers during the presscon of "Pitong Dalagita." She also didn't want to comment if it's true that the she's set to sign a contract with a new manager, as preparatory to her transfer sometime next year.

Cristine is rumored to be among the three stars of GMA 7 (the two others are Nicole Anderson and JC de Vera) who are reportedly moving to Channel 2 either later in the year or in early 2007.

While she disclosed that she's being offered to be a part of "Asian Treasures" (the new GMA show that headlines Robin Padilla and Angel Locsin), she hasn't said yes. Cristine is probably bidding her time till her contract with GMA 7 expires in January so she could effect a transfer to ABS-CBN without a hitch.

"I cannot answer if I will transfer or not to ABS-CBN because there are still some matters being discussed. I can't even tell you whom I am talking with regarding this matter kasi secret pa nga ito," said Cristine. Even the negotiation with her new manager is all hush-hush although the manager is a high-profile personality in the Kapamilya network.

As fellow "Starstruck" colleague Kristina Halili has gone sexy by appearing in FHM Magazine, Cristine said that GMA Artist Center is pushing her accept an offer to pose for FHM Magazine next year, but Cristine has yet to agree to it.

She has a boyfriend potential right now but Cristine won't reveal his identity. "He's a non-showbiz guy. Hindi pa naman siya totally nanliligaw pero wish ko lang na manligaw na siya kasi gusto ko naman na sa Pasko, may boyfriend na ako," said the sister of Ara Mina. She added that the guy is an athlete but when asked if the guy is a basketball player, Cristine wouldn't confirm it.

She has patched up her differences with Keempee de Leon who courted her to the consternation of her sister Ara (whom Keempee also courted during their "That's Entertainment" days). She was running a fever when she guested in an episode of "Bahay Mo Ba 'To," where Keempee is a mainstay.

"It was so cold in the studio but I forgot to bring a blanket. I told my yaya to ask Keempee if I could borrow a blanket. He lent me his comforter and up to now, it's still with me. I haven't had the chance to return it to him."
