Personality clash threatens to destroy Christmas in the upcoming sleigh ride comedy DECK THE HALLS starring Matthew Broderick, Danny DeVito, Kristin Davis and Kristin Chenoweth.

DECK THE HALLS centers on a fierce clash between two neighbors - Danny DeVito and Matthew Broderick - who have very different approaches to life. Broderick is rigid and traditional. DeVito is fun loving and flamboyant. Two families with nothing in common and their competing plans for Christmas threaten to destroy the festive season in a cozy New England town. When it comes to all-out war, it takes their wives, Kristin Chenoweth as Tia and Kristin Davis as Kelly, to try and sort it all out and make the peace.

In a warm festive mood, Kristin Chenoweth and Kristin Davis share their own Christmas traditions and how they infuse their own style for their roles in the movie.

Q: How do you describe your roles in the movie?

Davis:
Kelly is somebody who is a real caretaker. She is taking care of her two kids and her husband. Her life is all about everybody else, rather than about herself. She has no time at all for herself. I am a good traditional wife.

Chenoweth: Tia is Buddy's wife. She is his much younger trophy wife and we are both very small of course and we have two very tall gorgeous kids, teenage girls. We are a funny family. My character is always very supportive of Danny. She tells her husband what she thinks and does not edit what she is feeling.

Q: Can you tell us the kind of styles your characters have?

Davis:
As Kelly, I do wear an ugly sweater which has a snowman with a carrot that sticks out of it. It is awful, but it is funny. But I also have some great clothes for this movie. I have an adorable toggle coat, I have a car coat from Paris and I do wear really beautiful, classic clothes. For this film, I love my beautiful coats from Paris and I have great riding boots, Daryl K pants and Sally Hershberger jeans. So it is not all classical, though I do have Brooks Brothers pajamas.

Chenoweth: Tia, my character loves to wear tight, sexy clothes, there is nothing too tight for her to wear. She is a sexy trophy wife, so tight, tight, tight and low cut. She is like a mini version of her daughters, hip, sexy and she wears very high heels all the time.

Q: What are Christmases like for you?

Davis:
In South Carolina one of the events we attend together is at the zoo. Strangely enough they decorate the zoo with lights. They do it very well and it is a way to get people to go and support the zoo and it is always packed. It is warm at night there and people put on their ugly Christmas sweaters and go to the zoo and eat and sing carols, it is kind of fun.

Chenoweth: For me the best thing is being with people that you love and for me that means my family, who live all over Texas and Oklahoma. Even though there is usually no snow on the ground, it is still festive. Home is where the heart is. It is about being with children and being thankful. We always do a corny thing at Christmas time, we have a tacky Christmas tree with lights and my dad makes us all go around the tree and say what we are most thankful for. Invariably there are tears, even the men cry and we always get choked up and emotional. It is a great Christmas tradition and one that I would like to share one day with my own family.

Kristin Davis, single at 41, is most famous for her role as Charlotte in "Sex and the City." Her feature film credits include Nine Months, Traveling Companion, Sour Grapes, Blacktop, The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl, and the recent remake of Disney's The Shaggy Dog.

Kristin Chenoweth, also single, has made a name for herself on the stage, but she is also experienced in film, television and music. She won rave reviews as Glinda the Good Witch in the hit musical WICKED on Broadway and won a Tony award for her role as Sally in the musical YOU'RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN. She starred in the TV series, THE WEST WING and recently appeared in the movies BEWITCHED, THE PINK PANTHER and RV. She is also a trained opera singer.
