The Cinema Evaluation Board Rated A film "Ang Pamana - The Inheritance" is the biggest movie role to date of Phoemela Barranda and the segment host of "The Buzz" admitted her participation in the film opened new doors for her.
Because of this film, she was cast as the leading lady of Senator Lito Lapid in the filmfest entry "Tatlong Baraha" and Phoem is hopeful that more movie offers would be forthcoming, especially now that she has expressed interest to take acting seriously.
If before she was kind of reluctant to give acting a try, Phoem is now determined and eager to take on the challenge of being an actress, especially since her performance in "Ang Pamana - The Inheritance" was praised by her director, Romeo Candido, a Fil-Canadian filmmaker now based in Manila.
"She's very good in the film and I predict that she will get more offers after film producers see her in our movie," says the director of "Ang Pamana - The Inheritance," the fourth film to get an A rating from the Cinema Evaluation Board after "Kubrador," "Text" and "Inang Yaya."
Phoem is excited to have been chosen for the role as the bad cousin in the movie who even tried to seduce her kid, played by Darrel Gamotin, also a Fil-Canadian actor who plays one of the lead roles. And she was very pleased that their director liked her performance.
"Ang Pamana - The Inheritance" also stars Victor Neri, Nonie Buencamino and Fil-Canadian talents Nadine Villasin, Nicco Lorenzo Garcia and Carolyn Mangosing, who also produced the film. The film was screened at the recently concluded 8th Cinemanila International Film Festival. It will be shown in theaters starting November 22, released under Solar Entertainment.
