Rough estimate done by DJ Ram Dizon placed the audience at nearly 3,000 who came in herds and hordes, and who could only care less about the pelting rain just to put a fiery message across the air-that there is this 90-degrees-and-rising warmth for rock songs in the vernacular which led to the "phenomenal rise of Bisaya rock music."
The event last September 27 featured 16 Bisrock bands groomed by Smash FM dubbed Cebu's Rock Fortress. The Smashin' bands are comprised of Ossified, Flirt, Timeslot, Agipo, Makadawa, Fervent, Kabobo, Glass of Dirt, Indephums, Gangrene, What's the Frequency?, Missing Filemon, Mantequilla, Phylum, Aggressive Audio and featuring D'Kazins - the youngest but the loudest of 'em all.
The concert adopted the Woodstock style as derived from what was exemplified by hippies in the late 60's in White Lake/Bethel, New York when they had this "three days of music for peace, equality and solidarity." The success of the event couldn't have been made possible if it weren't for Ms. Marit Remonde, station manager of dyWF Smash FM and the supportive parents as well as Bisrock fans-Bisrock Lovers Clan, Isoya Boys Clan, Deadspotters, Alpha Kappa Bomba, Beta Gamma Rho, Kapabis Clan, G-Boys etc.
The event hosted by DJ Ram Dizon and Bré Ambungan Abrea was hooked up live over Smash-Home of Bisrockers-for avid listeners near and far like in northern Mindanao, Capiz in Panay Island, and towns in Leyte.
